Jacaranda Day 2014

The long wait for Jacaranda FM’s premiere outdoor music event is finally over. The fourth edition of SPAR Jacaranda Day will take place on Saturday, 17 May at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

Set to be the biggest and loudest Jacaranda Day to date, this year’s festival boasts a stellar line-up of music legends including: Theuns Jordaan, Bok van Blerk, Steve Hofmeyr, Riana Nel, BlackByrd, Die Tuindwergies and MonArk.

The festival which is Jacaranda FM’s leading annual music event attracts crowds in excess of 20 000, offering entertainment for every member of the family; kicking off at 12pm and closing at 7pm. Loads of fun for the kids will also be on offer in the form of: jumping castles, clowns, photo booths, face painters and SPAR goodies – giving parents a chance to let their hair down. Tickets are already being scooped up throughout four broadcast regions and fans that have not yet got their tickets are urged to do so timeously to avoid sales cut-offs.

Patrons also will have the opportunity to get autographs from all the performers as well as to meet their favourite Jacaranda FM presenter at the popular Lekker Zone. For event patrons too busy to pack picnic baskets, food stalls will also be on site.

Jacaranda FM’s general manager, Kevin Fine expressed his excitement for this year’s celebration, ‘This is easily the most diverse and entertaining line-up we’ve had to date. You’ll struggle to find such a great mix of artists on one stage, so this year’s Jacaranda Day simply cannot be missed. The headline sponsor, SPAR, have also ensured that there is something for every family member, so pack your picnic baskets and grab your tickets before they run out.”

Concert tickets can be purchased at http://bit.ly/QC009m at a cost of R120 for adults and R50 for pensioners and children under 12.

The public can follow #JacaDay on Twitter or go to www.jacarandafm.com for daily information updates. No hard liquor, glass/sharp objects, gazebos/umbrellas, animals and/or firearms will be allowed in the venue. Gautrain rides will be available to and from Centurion Station for people wishing to use the service.
